Variant production and traceability for gas detection devices and electronic components
Honeywell develops and produces precision measuring instruments at the very highest level. The high-tech products must be customized and still be able to be produced cost-effectively with the same quality. It is important for customer requirements that the products and installed components are traceable. A grown, manual database structure could no longer cope with the complex production processes. SAP ME was used as the MES solution and SAP PCo with OPC UA for linking the machine control system.
